Learn how to create cut-out images in Photo Studio that are ready to use in all your photomontages. This is handy for any images you regularly add to pictures, including logos and watermarks.
You can find the instructions for the following software versions:
inPixio Photo Studio 12
- On the home screen choose the mode Make Photomontage.
- Open the photo you want to edit.
- Select More items -> Images.
- Click on the + My images. Select Adding images... to add the whole image.
- If you choose Adding and clipping images... AI will automatically make a cutout of the selected image. A Browse window will open allowing you to choose an image from your PC.
- Alternatively, you can make a cutout with a transparent background yourself in the Remove Background module. Then add the cutout by clicking on the plus icon and choosing Adding images option.

- To add one of your cut-outs to the background image, simply drag and drop it onto the workspace.
- You can change the size of the cut-out by dragging its corners.
- You can also adjust the opacity of the image in the bottom menu.
- You can also change the position of your cut-out by either bringing it forward or sending it backward. This setting is used when you have a lot of objects in the photo that may overlap.

- Open the photo that you want to use as a background.
- Click the Photomontage tab in the right-hand panel.
- In the My Cut-out images section choose Cut out AI or Cut out. A Browse window will open allowing you to choose an image from your PC.

- If you already have a PNG image with a transparent background on your PC you can click on Add... button to add it to your cut-outs. A Browse window will open allowing you to choose an image from your PC.
- The cut-outs will appear in My cut-out images section.
- To add one of your cut-outs to the background image, simply drag and drop it onto the workspace.
- You can resize your cut-out by dragging one of the corners of the image.
- Adjust opacity in the right panel to help the objects blend into the photo.
- Click on the Disk Logo on the top panel to save your photomontage.
A browse window will open.
- Choose the location where you want to save your photomontage.
- Name your project.
- Click on Save.
- Choose the image quality. Click on Save.
