Photo Cutter 9 - How can I save the result as jpg?
AnsweredI just installed Photo Cutter 9 on Win10, so I'm definitely a beginner. But even with no experience, I succeeded quickly in cutting out parts of a photo and creating a different background. Stunning effect!
Then I wanted to save the modified photo. In the dialog for saving, Photo Cutter only offers png. If I use png, I get what I expect. I can also manually add the jpg extension to the file name. Then Photo Cutter saves the photo indeed as jpg, but without my changes.
Is there a way to save the result (cutting and adding a background) as jpg?

Hi Ueli,
Thank you for your post. Let me get it fixed for you.
PNG is an image format that works with full-color images, uses lossless compression, and preserves transparency.
JPEG (aka JPG) is an image format that uses lossy compression and does not support transparency.
So, in case you manually add the jpg extension to the file name, it will keep the details that you have deleted.
I would advise you to make the changes with the Cutter Module, save the files as png and then load the photo in the Photo Editor and save it through there as a jpeg.
