Photo Eraser colour profiles
AnsweredI was trying to use Eraser and tried 2 - 3 different images and none worked. Images various sizes.
It would chunder away but they never completed erasing the small items i was testing on.
If I used any of the demo images in the programme it was fine.
I then noticed that the images I was using were "adobe RGB1988" colour profile and the test images were sRGB IEC61966-2.1 colour profile.
If I converted my images to this profile then everything worked?????
Can I not use the adobe RGB1988 profile on your programme? If not, WHY NOT.
If I am supposed to be able to use this profile then why does my programme not work with it?
Thanks

Hello Andy,
Thank you for the patience.
To get the AdobeRGB1988 working with your InPixio on your computer, you need to get an ICC profile installed on your computer, in the folder « C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color ».
The software needs to be obtained from - https://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/iccprofiles/iccprofiles_win.htmlPhotoStudio 10.2 and on are coming with this installed automatically, unless there is a condition that prevented this. If the auto install failed, please complete the installation described above.

As no one has answered as yet then I will add a bit of info.
I have tried using the programme using various different colours besides the Adobe RGB1988 one (one of the most commonly used colour profiles there is).
There are a number which do not work and they seem to be all the straight RGB profiles such as Apple RGB, ColorMatch RGB and others.
AdobeRGB1988 is a very commonly used colour profile both for graphics programmes and cameras. Why on earth does this programme not work with that profile?

Hello Andy,
Thank you raising this valid concern.
As I would prefer not to speculate, please allow me some time to test this and get in touch with development for an accurate answer.
I am unable to provide you with an exact time or reply, but this may take from one hour, up to several days.Sincerely,

Hristo,
I have responded to your e-mail regarding your "official comment" as above.
Here is what I said and what is happening,
Right, I have done exactly what you detailed below.
I have installed the profiles from Adobe. I have rebooted my system.
It did not work.
I uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled Eraser, rebooted and it still does not work with Adobe RGB(1988)colour profile images when using
Photo Eraser 10 as a stand alone programme.
I then opened Cutter and it works fine
I opened Focus4 and it works fine
I opened Maximizer and it works fine
I opened Photo Editor 10 and it works fine.
When I open Photo Editor10 and use the drop down “inpixio tools, erase using photo eraser”
it will open up Eraser and then it works?????
Why therefore is Photo Eraser not working as a stand alone for Adobe RGB(1988) (and other) colour profiles?
I do not want to have to go into Editor and then into Eraser all the time.
Often I just need a quick and simple erase of an item and want to use Eraser as a simple stand alone tool.
Please advise
Thanks
Andy

Thank you for your reply Andy.
Please allow me some time to study that, as this seems a bit more tangled that I initially thought.Sincerely,
