In this article, we will show you how you can remove objects using the Erase Tool.
You can find the instructions for the following software versions:
inPixio Photo Studio 12
- On the home screen choose the Erase Objects mode.
- Open the image you want to edit.
The new Auto-Detection feature is now available in the Erase Objects module. It automatically detects and marks people and objects in a photo.
- Click on the arrow to find the Auto-Detection feature.
- Click the switch to disable/enable it. By default, the auto-detection is enabled.
- The objects detected by AI will be outlined. You can click on an object to erase it.
- If you want to erase multiple objects, hold the Ctrl key and click on the objects to select them.
- You can also add the brushstrokes to your selection while holding the Ctrl key.
- To add the brushstrokes hold down the left mouse button and drag your cursor over any object that you want to remove.
- You can change the brush size by moving the slider or choosing the pixel size.
- You can repeat the removal process in case it's necessary to refine the area.
When you are done removing objects from your image, you need to save the modifications.
- Click on the Save button on the top panel.

- Click on the Eraser Logo.
- Click on Edit.
There are different tools you can use to select your objects :
Selection Brush
- Click on the Brush Logo to use the Selection Brush.
- You can change the brush size by clicking on the arrows next to Brush Size or moving the slider.
- Click on the Brush.
- Hold down the left mouse button and drag your cursor over any object that you want to remove.
You can also remove some of your selection if you wish to keep an object.
- Click on the Eraser.
- Hold down the left mouse button and drag your cursor over the object that you want to remove from the selection.
- When you are done, click Erase to remove the objects.
Rectangle Selection
- Click on the Rectangle.
- Drag your cursor over your object to select the area.
- Click on Erase.
Lasso Selection
- Click on the Lasso.
- Hold down the left mouse button and trace a line around the object you want to remove.
- Click on Erase.
Polygon Selection
- Click on the Polygon.
- Left click and drag your cursor to create lines around your object until you close the circle.
- Click on Erase.
Saving your Modifications
When you are done with removing objects on your image, you need to save the modifications.
- Click on Save a Copy.
You will now see your updated image.
